Annie Newman

My name is Alexandra Newman (but I prefer Annie) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC, #14397).  My areas of focus are: working through and processing adoption with young adults/ adults, identity, loss, trauma, boundaries, life transitions and self-esteem.  

I’m here to walk with you through whatever you’re going through and my hope is that my clients feel comfortable, safe, valued, and heard.  I also hope my clients are able to step into their full potential, while safely processing and growing through past life experiences that have shaped who you are now.  

My approach: 

• Trauma informed 

• Client/ person centred approach: Building trust and rapport with my clients is very important to me, as I understand that feeling safe and comfortable to share the big and small live events and hurts cannot happen without trust

• EMDR Basic training (Level 1) 

• Life Span Integration (Level 1) 

• Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training (Basic training)  

• Perinatal Mood Disorders and Components of Care (Basic training) 

Availability: 

Monday 9-2:30 pm at Cambie Village 
Thursday 5-9 pm Online Only** 
Friday 10-2:30 pm at Cambie Village
Saturday 9-2:30 pm at Main Street 
Sunday 5-8pm Online Only ** 

Rates are $160 per 50 minute session.
